Optimize the flows of a high-turnover warehouse with two UP Series freight elevators equipped with a man-over-board system.

The Context and the Challenge

At the heart of Renault’s brand-new logistics center, the primary need was to handle huge volumes of goods and parts as quickly as possible. In a high-turnover logistics hub, every second lost in transferring materials between warehouse levels translates into a cost and a slowdown in the distribution chain.

The challenge was clear: to find a lifting system that would ensure maximum operational efficiency without ever compromising on the safety of personnel.

The Updinamic Solution

To meet this complex logistical need, Updinamic has successfully supplied and installed two industrial elevators of the UP Series.

Designed to combine a compact design with great handling capacity for medium and heavy loads, the UP Series integrated seamlessly into the spaces of Renault’s new warehouse, proving to be the ideal ally to connect the different operational levels and provide the reliability needed for daily, intensive use.

The Man-On-Board (SPB) System.

The real key to the success of this installation, which was able to make the handling of goods incredibly smooth and fast, was the configuration of the systems. Both lifts were equipped with the version certified for the freight transport with an operator on board (SPB).

Uninterrupted Flow: The warehouseman directly accompanies the load during loading and unloading, maneuvering the system from inside the cabin. This eliminates waiting time at the floors, dramatically reducing the loading and unloading time.
Total Operational Security: The presence of the operator is protected by the highest safety standards. The system includes a “man-present” control panel, perimeter protection barriers to ensure complete protection during transport, and a sensor for continuous monitoring of load and chain tension.

Load Flexibility: The UP Series is designed to easily handle capacities from 300 kg up to as much as 2500 kg, adapting to any storage need.
Certified Reliability: Solid structure, entirely designed in Italy and in full compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the new Machinery Regulations.
Innovation 4.0: Ability to integrate our Evolution Drivers, such as the U-Cloud for remote monitoring and predictive maintenance, a prerequisite in a logistics center of international scale.
